Shellie brings years of experience in residential real estate and new construction to New Waters Realty. Before stepping into her role as a full-time REALTOR®, she spent years working behind the scenes of the homebuilding and real estate process, coordinating transactions from contract through closing and working closely with buyers, sales agents, lenders, appraisers, inspectors and construction teams. Her experience gave her an in-depth understanding of the many moving pieces involved in purchasing or building a home, from contracts and construction milestones to inspections, appraisals and closing.
While new construction is one of Shellie’s specialties, her experience extends beyond newly built homes. She has also represented clients in existing-home transactions and understands that every move comes with a different set of needs, questions and emotions. Whether someone is buying their first home, building from the ground up, selling a longtime home or simply trying to determine what comes next, Shellie believes her job is to make the process easier to understand and to be a dependable resource from beginning to end.
Her background in sales, marketing, operations and client service has shaped the way she approaches real estate. Shellie is organized, detail-oriented and proactive, but what matters most to her is how people are treated. Grounded in her faith and a strong love for family and community, Shellie believes in treating others with kindness, integrity and the same care she would want for her own family. She believes in communicating often, following through on the details and being there when her clients need her. Her goal is for clients to know they have someone in their corner who genuinely cares about both the outcome and their experience getting there.
Shellie calls Tallassee home with her husband, Zac, and their four-legged family, cats Binx and Felix and dogs Cooper and Sadie. She and Zac love discovering new places together, often choosing a town to explore by visiting its museums, local businesses and restaurants. At home, they enjoy football Saturdays spent outside grilling in the fall, staying active, cooking and taking Cooper and Sadie for walks along the Tallassee boardwalk. They also enjoy supporting their community through local events and farmers’ markets.
That appreciation for community is a natural extension of what Shellie loves about real estate. To her, finding a home is not simply about bedrooms, square footage or a street address. It is about finding the place where everyday life happens and where people can truly feel at home.
