MOBIS Strengthens Region’s Status as a Key Automotive Hub

Montgomery, Alabama, October 2, 2024 —MOBIS broke ground on its latest expansion project in Montgomery, Alabama, marking a significant milestone for the region’s automotive industry. The new $52 million, 460,000-square-foot facility will serve the aftermarket parts needs for both Hyundai and Kia’s national dealer networks. This expansion will not only boost local employment but also solidify Montgomery’s position as a key player in the automotive sector. Today, Graham & Co. Development, in partnership with Cooper Construction, FIVESOUTH Architecture, Graham Capital, and the Montgomery Chamber, hosted a groundbreaking event to celebrate the commencement of MOBIS’S expansion. Our capital city’s economic development efforts, supported by key partners like MOBIS, continue to drive our community’s growth and success. We are proud to see MOBIS’s continued confidence in our community, which will generate further investment and employment in the region.

Today’s event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including state and local leaders, elected officials, and distinguished guests, all of whom emphasized the importance of the expansion and its impact on the community. Speakers included: President & Chief Development Officer of Graham & Co. Development, Henry V. Graham II; Alabama Secretary of Commerce, Ellen McNair; Montgomery Mayor, Steven L. Reed; Montgomery County Commission Chairman, Doug Singleton and Chairman-Elect of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, Stacia Robinson.
